Walking, photography,
and the power of showing up.

Delivered between November 2025 and January 2026 across Waltham Forest — Lea Valley, Walthamstow Market, Wood Street, Fellowship Square, and Hollow Pond. Men walked approximately 5,000 steps per session, developed smartphone photography skills, and built genuine community bonds in a non-clinical, outdoor setting.

  • 24 total attendances recorded across 8 sessions
  • 19 bookings via Eventbrite, 3 via Instagram, 2 via Step Forward Saturdays referrals
  • Participants from Black and Asian backgrounds and multiple age groups
  • Free to attend — portable power banks and spare smartphones provided
  • 20 Winter Warmer Packs distributed to participants, provided by Groundwork, Cadent Foundation and Green Doctors London
  • Remaining packs redistributed to individuals experiencing homelessness, with StreetLink referrals submitted
  • Delivered within budget with £136 underspend

Running from October 2025 at Leytonstone Library, Step Forward Saturdays combined structured career development workshops with accessible community support. Over three months, 7 men were supported to create tailored, role-specific CVs — securing 7 job interviews and 4 confirmed job offers as a result. In just one snapshot month, 13 residents stopped by — 7 received one-to-one support, and 2 more contacted us via email after being signposted by other organisations.

The Football Catch-Up ran consistently throughout the entire 2025/26 football season — every Monday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. 35 weeks of structured, reliable community connection for men who showed up week after week. Mashood won our inaugural Prediction League, taking home a retro France '98 Zidane jersey.

A six-week online workshop series covering ChatGPT, Gemini, and NotebookLM — practical AI tools for everyday life and work. Designed for men with no technical background who want to use AI confidently. Every session was free to attend.
